They often make the same mistakes. They buy cars that are not really affordable, because only the net price of the car is taken into account, and the cost of operation and maintenance is ignored.

Because of this, cars spend a lot of time in the garage or in the parking lot. The owner does not have enough funds to buy quality consumables. Instead of the recommended spare parts, he takes cheap Chinese counterparts, and a full-fledged official MOT from a dealer is replaced by visiting dubious services, or they do the work with their own hands, without having the skills and qualifications.

The new generation compact urban crossover from the Japanese company Suzuki has attracted the attention of a large audience of buyers.

The car is practical, spacious enough, despite the apparent visual dimensions, as well as economical and comfortable. The model received high marks for safety, both active and passive.

The Suzuki SX4 was once a full-fledged hatchback. Then a cross-version of this car appeared. After that, the company completely made the car a full-fledged SUV, albeit a compact category.

Alas, the rise in prices in 2021 affected Suzuki as well. The SX4 model is still included in the list of cars under 1,600,000 rubles. Although it turned out to be almost on the verge of this mark.

The minimum cost of the GL configuration is 1.529 million rubles. The next option in terms of equipment costs already from 1.629 million.

For the initial price, you can get front-wheel drive, a 1.6-liter engine with 117 horsepower and a 5-speed manual gearbox. Alas, this is the maximum. You can talk about a turbo engine only with a budget of 1.9 million rubles.

In general, the car is not bad. You should not expect a rich package. But if you like Suzuki SX4, and will suit a set of standard components without frills and modern electronic gadgets, then you can safely take it for 1.6 million.

Skoda Karoq

Also among the new cars up to 1,600,000 rubles deserves to be a Czech compact crossover in the face of Skoda Karoq. Interesting, practical, roomy car. More focused on urban exploitation. The dimensions are clearly superior to the previous version, but the pricing policy is about the same.

From the start, the Skoda Karoq, which replaced the retired Skoda Yeti crossover, will cost 1.5 million rubles. But this is the only package called Active that falls within the established budget.

If you act strictly according to the rules, then for 1.5 million you can take a version with a 1.6-liter MPI engine producing 110 horsepower with a 5-speed manual transmission included. If you break a little and pay 1.62 million, you will be able to get a little technically different equipment. The package will be the same, but under the hood there will be a 1.4 TSI with 150 horsepower, and the box will be an 8-speed automatic.

For a complete set of Ambition with an MPI engine, you will have to pay from 1.65 million. And with TSI and even 1.75 million rubles.

Toyota Corolla

Japanese sedan of the new generation. No additional presentation is required for this machine. It is also nice that the novelty still fits into the framework of 1,600,000 rubles.

To be more precise, for that kind of money, you can take 2 configurations. These are Standard and Classic. They cost between 1.5 and 1.577 million rubles, respectively. The next rung starts at $ 1.7 million.

It is better not to take the Standard version: it is too empty. But the Classic is already more interesting, at least due to the electric heating of the steering wheel, leather steering wheel, audio system, alloy wheels, etc. There will also be a 4.2-inch on-board computer display, heated front seats, LED DRLs and other components, as in version Standard.

The salon is full-fledged 5-seater. The trunk is roomy, although not a record holder in its category. You don't have to choose an engine. In Russia, the Toyota Corolla is offered only with an atmospheric 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 122 horsepower. There is no need to talk about outstanding dynamics, but the car is very economical and with an excellent resource.

Suzuki vitara

Another great compact crossover from Suzuki. Only now the model is a little older, with larger dimensions.

The new Vitara, which became the successor to the full-fledged SUV Suzuki Grand Vitara, turned out to be an entirely urban crossover. You should not count on special all-terrain abilities. But on the asphalt Vitara will demonstrate low fuel consumption, decent acceleration, a high level of comfort and safety.

Plus, the Suzuki Vitara is devoid of the main drawback of its predecessor. This design is dull and out of line with current trends. Vitara has no such problems. Looks stylish, up-to-date, is offered with a wide range of modern electronics. But the price bites. Although the top cars without a run worth up to 1,600,000 rubles are still included.

There are 2 GL trim levels to choose from. For 1.43 million rubles, you can take a car with a gasoline atmospheric internal combustion engine, like the Suzuki SX4, with front-wheel drive and 5-speed mechanics. Given the special programs, you can potentially count on the GL + package. But here we are talking about Trade-In, the Suzuki Finance program, as well as a special benefit for healthcare professionals.

The crossover is objectively noteworthy. Although the specified budget still seems to be insufficient to get the Suzuki Vitara in optimal form and equipment. It is recommended to raise the budget to 1.8-1.9 million.

Skoda Octavia

Although new Czech cars have significantly increased in price, there was a place for another interesting representative. It is rightly included in the rating, although one should not count on rich equipment with a budget of 1,600,000 rubles.

The new generation of Skoda Octavia has reached the Russian market. Sales started relatively recently. Therefore, it is too early to talk about any specific figures, as well as the level of demand for a new product.

Considering the experience of past years, the Skoda Octavia has been selling well steadily. This is not a bestseller in the Russian Federation, but the Octavia remains the best-selling model of the Czech brand.

Prices have gone up, and this is worth acknowledging. Previously, it was quite realistic to pick up the Octavia from the passenger compartment in a mid-range configuration for 1.2 million rubles. Now, even the simplest equipment does not cost so much.

In the Russian Federation, versions of Active Plus, Ambition Plus and Style Plus are available. You can immediately forget about the latter within the framework of this rating, since prices start at $ 1.77 million.

But the first 2 configurations fit into the indicated amount. Active Plus costs from 1.47 million rubles. Ambition Plus will cost at least 1.56 million. In the first case, a range of engines and transmissions is presented. This is 1.6 MPI with 110 horsepower with 6 automatic transmissions, or 1.4 TSI with 150 hp. from. and 6MKPP, as well as the same TSI, but with 8 automatic transmissions. In the Ambition Plus package, you will have to choose between a 110-horsepower engine on the automatic and TSI on the mechanics. A 150-horsepower internal combustion engine on a machine is already more expensive than 1.6 million. The second configuration is objectively better. If you are ready to pay a little more than 1.6 million rubles, then you can safely count on 8АКПП together with 1.4 TSI.

Nissan Qashqai

Since the best cars without a run costing up to 1,600,000 rubles were selected, it would definitely be a mistake to pass by this Japanese crossover. Now Nissan Qashqai is one of the best-selling and demanded SUVs in Russia. The success that came to the first generation model has successfully passed on to the second generation. The demand is huge.

The popularity of the 2nd generation Qashqai is easy to explain. Stylish design, practical and comfortable interior, good engines. The only complaint is the variator box. I would like an ordinary machine.

There are 7 complete sets in Russia. But only 3 of them fit into the specified budget. These are XE, SE and SE +. Prices start at 1.37, 1.5 and 1.55 million rubles, respectively.

Kia ceed

Technically, you can get a 1.6-liter MPI engine with 128 horsepower. Alas, the 1.4-liter turbo engine with 140 horsepower is available only in the Premium and higher trim levels. And this is at least 1.7 million rubles.

The box will be mechanical or automatic, and the choice between the gearbox is available only in the initial configuration. The rest of the versions come with no alternative with automatic transmission.

Hyundai elantra

The new generation of the South Korean car Hyundai Elantra attracts with a really unusual appearance. The design turned out to be bright and modern. At the same time, the car boasts good equipment, reliable engines, low fuel consumption and pleasant prices.

Such a car can be taken with 1.6 MPI engines of 128 hp. and an automatic transmission, or 2.0 per 150 liters. But prices for a complete set with a more powerful internal combustion engine start at $ 1.515 million.

With the initial engine, you can take all 3 configurations - these are Base, Active and Way. If you need more horsepower, you will have to limit yourself to the Active, Way or Elegance trim levels.

Kia seltos

A novelty performed by a South Korean manufacturer. The Kia Seltos belongs to the compact crossover category. Incredibly attractive appearance, interesting solutions inside and out. Many expect serious prospects from this car.

Moreover, the prices are surprisingly low. Only 3 of the top-end configurations at a price of 1.66 million rubles do not fit into the budget. But there are Classic, Comfort, Luxe, Style and Edition Plus trim levels. Here the price tag starts at 1.225 million rubles.

Three motors are available at once. These are 1.6-liter MPIs with 121 and 123 horsepower, as well as a 2.0-liter MPI with 149 hp. From the boxes you can take a mechanic, an automatic machine or a variator. Front-wheel drive or plug-in full. All ICEs are gasoline.

Kia cerato

Perhaps not the most obvious option, given such a novelty as the Seltos. But the Kia Cerato turned out to be the most affordable in this rating.

The minimum cost of the South Korean C-class sedan according to the European classification is 1.2 million rubles. Absolutely all configurations available for the Russian Federation fit into the established budgetary framework. For the amount of 1.57 million rubles, the GT Line + version is being sold. And this is a top-end engine with 150 horsepower, an automatic transmission and the richest set of equipment. This includes leather upholstery, digital instrument cluster, LED optics, touchscreen multimedia, parking assist and more.

If you want to maximize your budget, then the Kia Cerato is your favorite.
