The North American Auto Show, which took place in January 2016, hosted many interesting events on its stage, and one of them was the world premiere of the second incarnation of the "raised" cargo-passenger Audi A4 allroad quattro (in the fifth generation of the model, index "B9").

The car, built according to the already well-known Ingolstadt off-road recipe, turned out to be larger, more technologically advanced and lighter than its predecessor, but retained its recognizable shape.

Against the background of the "standard" 5th generation Audi A4 station wagon, the "allroad quattro" version stands out for its more powerful and presentable appearance, and all thanks to the plastic body kit covering the lower perimeter of the body, and widened wheel arches with large wheels, dressed in high-profile tires.

In all other respects, the "raised shed" repeats other models of the family.

The length of the Audi A4 allroad quattro is 4750 mm, the width is 1842 mm (with side mirrors - 2022 mm), the height is 1493 mm. The wheelbase of the "all-terrain" station wagon is 2818 mm, and its ground clearance is 160 mm (that is, 20 mm higher than that of the usual cargo-and-passenger "four").

Inside, the "raised" Audi A4 repeats its "brothers" in the family. The interior of the car is modern, attractive and ergonomic, and it is finished with premium materials.

The front riders are given comfortable chairs with an anatomical profile and great possibilities for settings, while a comfortable three-seater sofa is located at the back (although only two people can sit there because of the protruding transmission tunnel).

The cargo compartment of the "four" in the allroad quattro version, as on the base station wagon, depending on the position of the backs of the "gallery" (folded in three parts) holds from 505 to 1510 liters of luggage.

Specifications. For the Audi A4 allroad quattro with the B9 index, six power units are available, each of which is combined with a quattro all-wheel drive transmission with a limited slip differential that divides traction by default in a ratio of 40:60.

  • There is only one gasoline engine (only it will most likely make it to Russia) - a 2.0-liter inline-four with turbocharging and direct fuel injection, developing 252 horsepower at 5000-6000 rpm and 370 Nm of peak thrust at 1600-4500 rpm.
It is combined with the 7-band "robot" S tronic, providing the car with a starting spurt to the first "hundred" in 6.1 seconds and 246 km / h of maximum capabilities.
  • For Europe, diesel in-line “fours” and V-shaped “sixes” with direct injection and turbocharging with a volume of 2.0-3.0 liters are also provided, generating 163-272 “horses” and 400-600 Nm of torque.
They mate with a "robot" of seven ranges, and the most powerful version - with an 8-speed "automatic".

In general, the technical component of the Audi A4 allroad quattro is identical to that on other "fours" of the fifth generation: MLB platform, five-link front and rear suspension made of "winged metal", electromechanical power steering, and brake discs on all wheels.

For a surcharge, the car is equipped with an adaptive chassis with electronically controlled shock absorbers.

Options and prices. On the territory of Russia, the Audi A4 allroad quattro in 2018 is offered exclusively with a gasoline engine at a price of 2,794,000 rubles.

The basic equipment of the car includes: six airbags, external mirrors with heating and electrical settings, dual-zone climate control, electric boot lid, multimedia complex, audio system with 8 speakers, ERA-GLONASS technology, rear parking sensors, ABS, ESP, bi -xenon headlights and a bunch of other equipment.
