The BMW M4 is a high-performance two-door D-class premium coupe, addressed to the wealthy, active lifestyle and with a particular focus on the driving habits of the car ...

The conceptual version of the car was first demonstrated in mid-August 2013 - at the Pebble Beach Elegance Contest, and its production copy was demonstrated on December 12 of the same year, simultaneously with the third series emka (the official debut took place in January 2014 th - on the podium of the Detroit Auto Show).

In January 2017, the car underwent a slight restyling, which "cost a little blood" - it only slightly tweaked the exterior, separated the fully LED optics, made minor changes to the interior and reconfigured the chassis.

The appearance of the BMW M4 Coupe instantly recognizes belonging to the "Bavarian clan", and the aggressive aerodynamic body kit, large-diameter wheels with different-sized tires, a pair of "double-barreled" exhaust system and M-nameplates do not allow confusing a "charged" two-door with a "civilian" model.

Moreover, each element in the exterior of the car carries a "semantic" load, either increasing downforce and improving aerodynamics, or cooling certain components and assemblies.

The eMka of the fourth series is 4671 mm long, 1870 mm wide, and 1383 mm high. A 2,812-mm base fits between the pairs of wheels at the two-door, and a 121-mm ground clearance is visible under the bottom.

In "combat" form, the coupe weighs from 1497 to 1537 kg, depending on the modification.

Inside, the "charged" essence of the BMW M4 is underlined by the M-pattern steering wheel, gear lever and dashboard, CFRP and aluminum trim and sports seats with advanced lateral support and integrated head restraints.

The rest is the same interior as the standard “brother”, with a cockpit feel, “family” design, impeccable ergonomics, first-class performance level and four seats.

In the trunk of the "charged four" in the normal state, it fits up to 445 liters of luggage. A spare wheel for the car is not provided even as an option, as it is standardly "shoes" in Run Flat tires.

Under the hood of the BMW M4 coupe is an inline six-cylinder engine S55B30 with a displacement of 3.0 liters, equipped with two turbochargers, throttle-free mixture formation technology, direct fuel injection, phase shifters at the outlet and inlet and a mechanism for adjusting the height and duration of raising the intake valves. It develops 431 horsepower at 5500-7300 rpm and 550 Nm of torque at 1850-5500 rpm.

If this is not enough for someone, then the “Competition” package offered for an additional fee brings the output of the power unit to 450 hp. at 7000 rpm (the amount of thrust remains unchanged).

Initially, "Emka" is equipped with a 6-speed "mechanics" with the function of increasing the speed when lowering the gear and an electromechanical disc self-locking differential, and as an option - a preselective 7-band "robot" with a pair of "wet" clutches.

Depending on the modification, the first "hundred" BMW M4 Coupe gains after 4.1-4.3 seconds (with the Competition package - in 4-4.2 seconds), and maximally "shoots" up to 250 km / h (for an additional charge - up to 280 km / h ).

In combined conditions, the two-door "destroys" from 8.3 to 8.8 liters of fuel for every 100 km.

At the heart of the BMW M4 Coupé is a redesigned bogie from the 3-Series. High-strength steels are abundantly used in the car's body structure, the hood and front fenders are made of aluminum, and the trunk lid and roof are made of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic.
In front, the "Bavarian" is equipped with independent McPherson struts, and at the rear - a multi-link system (in the "base" - with passive shock absorbers and anti-roll bars). As an option, it boasts an adaptive M-chassis with electronically controlled shock absorbers and three operating algorithms (Comfort; Sport; Sport +).

As standard, the machine is equipped with progressive electric power steering and ventilated perforated disc brakes on all wheels (front ones with four-piston calipers, and rear ones with two-piston calipers).

In Russia, the 2017 BMW M4 Coupe is offered at a price of 4,540,000 rubles, while the version with a robotic transmission will have to pay 332,000 rubles more.
In the basic configuration, the two-door has: six airbags, ABS, ESP, dual-zone "climate", multimedia system, cruise control, 18-inch wheels, all-LED optics, ASC, DBC, DSC, a premium audio system with six speakers and the darkness of other modern equipment.
