In March 2014, the international premiere of the Qoros 3 Hatch, a five-door hatchback of the popular C-class, took place at the exhibition of the automotive industry in Geneva. In the fall of the same year, the car went on sale in the home market for itself, and after a few months it reached Europe, but there the five-door did not work out - due to low consumer demand in June 2015, its sales on the European continent were discontinued.
Outwardly, Qoros 3 Hatch does not shine with any pretentious design chips, but it demonstrates a cute, harmonious and dynamically knocked down look. The hatchback looks fresh and original - a bit of solidity in its exterior is extolled by modern lighting technology, "muscular" bumpers and expressive stampings, and sportiness is added by a flat roofline, large wheel discs and two exhaust pipes integrated into the rear pseudo-diffuser.
The five-door from the Middle Kingdom is a typical representative of the C-class according to European standards and has the following external dimensions: 4438 mm in length, of which 2690 mm is the distance between the axles, 1839 mm in width and 1445 mm in height. The mass of the vehicle in "combat" condition varies from 1320 to 1410 kg, and its ground clearance is 160 mm.
Inside, Qoros 3 Hatch looks restrained, but modern, and is distinguished by well-thought-out ergonomic indicators - a nice and informative instrument panel with a 3.5-inch on-board computer screen, a steep "steering wheel" with a raised rim, flattened at the bottom, and a stylish console in the center of the front panel with 8-inch "TV" and "climate" unit.
The driver and front passenger are in charge of perfectly configured seats with an optimal profile, well-developed lateral bolsters and sufficient adjustment ranges. Rear riders are greeted by a full-fledged three-seater sofa with a traditional molding and a normal supply of space both in the legs and above the heads.
The luggage compartment of the five-door Qoros 3 hatchback is 403 liters in standard form and 1105 liters with two unequal parts folded (in a ratio of 60:40) with the backrest of the second row of seats. In the "mode" of maximum capacity, a flat area and a very wide opening are formed.
Specifications. Under the hood of the car is a 1.6-liter (1598 cubic centimeters) in-line four-cylinder engine with a multipoint injection system, variable valve timing and a 16-valve DOHC timing belt, which is offered in two versions - naturally aspirated or turbocharged:
- in the first case, the motor produces 126 horsepower at 6150 rpm and 155 Nm of torque at 3900 rpm,
- and in the second - 156 "heads" at 5500 rpm and 210 Nm of maximum thrust in the range from 1750 to 5000 rpm.
Both powertrains work jointly with a Getrag 6DCT250 6-band "robot" with dual-clutch and front-wheel drive transmission, and the basic version also has a six-speed manual gearbox.
From the start to the first "hundred" Qoros 3 Hatch, depending on the modification, rushes in 9.7-12.6 seconds, and upon reaching a speed of 193-210 km / h stops acceleration. In combined driving conditions, a car with a "junior" unit requires 6.1-6.3 liters of fuel, and with a "senior" unit - 6.5 liters.
At the heart of the five-door hatchback is a universal front-wheel drive "bogie" with a transversely located power plant, independent front suspension based on classic MacPherson struts and a semi-independent rear axle with a torsion beam (both there and there are anti-roll bars).
The car is controlled by means of a rack and pinion steering system, in which an electromechanical power steering is mounted, and slows down thanks to disc brakes on all wheels (with ventilation in the front) with a diameter of 305 mm on the front and 285 mm on the rear axle.
Prices and equipment. In Russia, Qoros 3 Hatch is not officially sold (although its appearance in our country is not excluded), but on the Chinese market this five-door is offered at a price of 108,800 to 171,900 yuan (at the rate at the beginning of 2016 ~ 1,260,000 - 1,995 000 rubles).
At base, the car shows off two airbags, ABS with EBD, LED daytime running lights, four-speaker music, 16-inch rollers and an 8-inch infotainment system.
With the maximum configuration, everything is much more fun - there are also bi-xenon front optics, side airbags, front seats with electric adjustment and heating, dual-zone "climate", ESP, ASR and many other options.
