The third-generation gasoline-electric crossover made its debut at the beginning of May 2018 (during an online presentation) - visually, compared to its predecessor, the car changed in a similar vein to its "brothers on traditional traction", but at the same time it became more powerful, economical, " long-range "and technological.

Outside, the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid cannot be mistaken for the standard model by the nameplates on the front fenders and tailgate, an additional hole on the left side for connecting a charger, original wheel discs and green brake calipers.

The overall length of the hybrid SUV is 4918 mm, of which the center distance extends to 2895 mm, its width reaches 1983 mm, and its height does not exceed 1696 mm.

When loaded, the five-door weighs a minimum of 2295 kg.

Inside, the “third” Porsche Cayenne in the performance of the E-Hybrid almost completely repeats the basic “brother”, differing from it only in small details.

In general, the interior of the premium crossover looks beautiful and noble and can boast of impeccable ergonomics and exclusively "purebred" finishing materials.

In terms of cargo-passenger capabilities, the hybrid is identical to the conventional model: its interior is designed to accommodate a driver and four adult riders, and the trunk is capable of “absorbing” from 770 to 1710 liters of luggage (depending on the position of the rear sofa).

The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is driven by a hybrid power plant, which includes a 3.0-liter V6 turbo petrol engine developing 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, a 136-horsepower electric motor (400 Nm), an 8-band "automatic" and an all-wheel drive transmission with an electronically controlled clutch connecting the front axle.

In addition, a lithium-ion traction battery with a liquid cooling system with a capacity of 14.1 kWh is located under the floor of the cargo compartment of the SUV.

The total output of the petrol-electric drive is 462 hp. and 700 Nm of peak potential.

It is worth noting that the electric motor works in conjunction with the gasoline "six" from the very beginning of the movement and does not turn off even in the most extreme modes of electronics. Moreover, in the most "capable" Sport + mode, almost complete battery discharge is allowed in order to maintain the maximum performance of the electric unit.

From one place to the first "hundred" Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid "shoots" in 5 seconds, and the maximum gains 253 km / h. Exclusively on electric traction, the crossover accelerates from 0 to 60 km / h in 6.3 seconds, but the peak of its capabilities in this case does not exceed 135 km / h.

In the combined cycle of movement, the car consumes on average 3.2-3.4 liters of fuel for every 100 km of track, depending on the tires, and on fully charged batteries it can cover 44 km, using only electricity.

Full "saturation" of the battery from a household outlet takes about eight hours for a five-door, however, as an option, it is offered the ability to connect to a "fast" terminal.

Structurally, the third-generation Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid does not differ from the standard "brother" - the modular MLB Evo "bogie" based on the extensive use of high-strength steel and aluminum in the body structure, independent double wishbones in front and a multi-link at the rear with adaptive shock absorbers, electromechanical power steering controls yes ventilated disc brakes "in a circle" with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers.

For a surcharge, the crossover can be equipped with a full-steering chassis, air suspension and active anti-roll bars.

In the Russian market, the "third" Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid in 2018 is offered at a price of 6,934,000 rubles.

The starter package for the mid-size SUV includes: eight airbags, dual-zone climate control, ABS, ESP, 19-inch wheel rims, a media center with a color screen, a premium audio system with nine speakers, full LED optics, virtual instrument cluster, heated and electric front seats , cruise control and more.
