The subcompact model Hyundai i10 of the first generation, which replaced the Atos hatchback, made its world premiere at the end of October 2007 - at the auto show in the Indian city of New Delhi.

In September 2010, the Koreans showed an updated version of the car, which acquired a refreshed appearance and a number of previously unavailable functions, after which it was produced until 2014 without any innovations.

The "first" Hyundai i10 is positioned as a five-door A-class hatchback according to the European classification. The length, width and height of the Korean compact are 3565 mm, 1595 mm and 1540 mm, respectively, and 2380 mm are allocated for the wheelbase.

In the stowed state, the car weighs from 925 to 1040 kg, depending on the modification, and its ground clearance is fixed at 165 mm.

Specifications. On the "South Korean top ten" of the 1st generation, two four-cylinder gasoline "aspirated" engines with distributed injection were installed:

  • 1.1-liter version, developing 67 "horses" and 98 Nm of torque,
  • and a 1.2-liter engine, the output of which has 78 horsepower and 119 Nm of peak thrust.

Offered for the hatchback and three-cylinder naturally aspirated diesel engine volume of 1.1 liters with direct fuel supply, producing 75 "mares" and 153 Nm of potential.

The engines were equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic gearbox, as well as a front-wheel drive transmission.

The original Hyundai i10 is based on a shortened Getz platform. A McPherson-type suspension is mounted on the front of the car, and a spring-torsion architecture at the rear. The rack and pinion steering of the "Korean" is supplemented with an electric booster, ventilated discs are placed on the front wheels, and drum devices on the rear wheels. By default, all versions of the hatchback "sport" ABS and EBD systems.

The first generation Hyundai i10 was not officially delivered to the Russian market, but individual copies are still found on the roads of our country. In the secondary market in 2018, this car is offered at a price of 300 ~ 400 thousand rubles (depending on the condition and equipment of a particular instance).

The positive qualities of the hatchback include economical engines, acceptable equipment, convenient dimensions for urban use, maneuverability and low maintenance costs.

Among the negative points are stiff suspension, small trunk, "oak" plastics in the interior trim and erratic behavior at high speeds.
