The Chevrolet Lacetti sedan was officially presented to the public at the 2002 Seoul Auto Show (it replaced the Daewoo Nubira). On the European market, car sales began in 2003, and it reached Russia in 2004. In 2009, the Lacetti was replaced by a new global model Chevrolet Cruze, but in our country the production of the three-volume was carried out until 2012, and at the GM-Uzbekistan plant - until 2014.

Externally, the Chevrolet Lacetti sedan is not bad - the car has simple and laconic body shapes, which are not particularly outdated to this day. "Lacetti" was created with an eye to the European market, and this in its features can be traced immediately. However, it is not entirely clear what exactly the eminent designers of the Pininfarina studio worked on, because the exterior of the car is completely lacking in Italian sophistication and grace.

The front of the car is distinguished by large head optics and a trapezoidal radiator grill, and the rear is distinguished by sharp edges in the spirit of the Cadillac CTS. But the silhouette of the three-volume Chevrolet Lacetti looks solid and solid, largely due to the rather large size of the body, emphasized by a long hood, a roof that slopes smoothly to the stern, as well as pronounced wheel arches. Of course, such an appearance will be relevant for many years, although it does not draw attention to itself in the flow of cars.

The Chevrolet Lacetti sedan has the following external body dimensions: 4515 mm in length, 1725 mm in width and 1445 mm in height. The wheelbase is quite solid - 2600 mm, and the ground clearance is suitable for Russian roads - 162 mm.

Inside, the three-volume model has a simple but functional layout. The dashboard of the Chevrolet Lacetti is no different, but readings are good under any conditions. Simple in appearance, but quite comfortable steering wheel fits well into the interior of the car.

The center console is endowed with verified ergonomics and a very attractive design, and only the necessary controls are located on it - a head unit and a climate system control unit (these are either three rotating air conditioner knobs, or a full-fledged climate control with a monochrome display). It is convenient to use all the functions of the car due to their good location.

One of the advantages of the Chevrolet Lacetti sedan is its spacious interior. There is plenty of room in front, but the seats are not entirely comfortable, in particular, the pillow is too soft and there is practically no lateral support, but there are height adjustments. The rear sofa is suitable for three adult passengers, since there is enough space both in width and height and in the knees.

For the transportation of luggage, the Lacetti sedan has a 405-liter cargo compartment. It has a wide opening and a convenient shape, which facilitates the transportation of rather massive items. The backrest of the second row of seats folds down (separately), creating a volume of 1225 liters and space for long items.

Specifications. The sedan Chevrolet Lacetti was equipped with three gasoline four-cylinder "atmospheric".
The base is a 1.4-liter unit, the potential of which is 95 horsepower and 131 Nm of peak thrust, combined with a "mechanics" for five gears. The dynamics of such a car is quite good: 11.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h and 175 km / h top speed. In mixed mode, it needs 7.2 liters of fuel for every 100 kilometers.
The golden mean is a 1.6-liter engine that generates 109 "horses" and 150 Nm of torque. Both the manual gearbox and the 4-band automatic gearbox are available for it in tandem. Acceleration to the first hundred in the "Lacetti" takes 10.7-11.5 seconds, and its "maximum speed" reaches 175-187 km / h. Gasoline consumption cannot be called a record - from 7.1 to 8.1 liters in the combined cycle.
Top-end - 1.8-liter "aspirated" with 121 horsepower, which develops 169 Nm of torque (it is paired with the same types of gearboxes as the previous engine). After 9.8-10.9 seconds, such a sedan goes to conquer the second hundred, developing a peak speed of 187-195 km / h. Depending on the transmission, the fuel consumption is 7.4-8.8 liters.

The Chevrolet Lacetti sedan is built on the J200 platform with an independent circle suspension (McPherson struts in front and a multi-link in the rear). Each of the wheels of the three-volume model is equipped with a disc braking system (they are ventilated at the front).

Options and prices. In the Russian market in 2015, a supported Chevrolet Lacetti sedan will cost 250,000 - 400,000 rubles, depending on the modification, year of manufacture and condition.
As for the equipment, the "empty" car has a pair of airbags, ABS, two power windows, regular "music", as well as heating and electric drive of side mirrors. The prerogative of the top-end configuration is side airbags, power windows for all doors, climate control, fog lights and a two-way adjustable steering wheel.
