The world debut of Renault Megane III RS, built on the basis of the "civilian" model of the third generation, was celebrated in March 2009 - on the podiums of the Geneva Motor Show, and in the fall of the same year it began to develop the world's leading markets.

Since then, it has been slightly modernized twice - in 2012 and 2014 - slightly changing externally and internally, but keeping the technical "stuffing" intact.

The interior of Renault Megane III RS itself looks quite "ordinary" (by the standards of "lighters"), but attractive and modern. And the sports theme is set in it: a three-spoke steering wheel with a "zero" mark, metal pedals, a combination of devices with an analog tachometer, placed in a yellow "saucer", and front seats with a pronounced side profile.

The Renault Megane III RS is based on the Renault C front-wheel drive platform with a transverse engine. On the front axle of the three-door, an independent MacPherson-type suspension with separate steering knuckles and a transverse stabilizer is used, and on the rear there is a semi-independent structure with a torsion beam. Stiffer shock absorbers and springs are used on cars with the optional "Cup" package and in the "Trophy" version.

By default, "er-eska" boasts a rack and pinion steering unit with electric power steering and a shortened gear ratio. The front of the car is equipped with ventilated brake discs with a diameter of 340 mm (on the Trophy version - 10 mm more), and at the rear - the usual 290 mm devices. In addition, the hot hatch has a Dynamic Management system with three modes of operation, which allows you to adjust the level of braking assistance, ESP intervention and traction control.

In the secondary market of Russia, Renault Megane III RS is offered at a price of ~ 800 thousand rubles (as of autumn 2017).
In the basic configuration, the car demonstrates: six airbags, dual-zone "climate", ABS, ESP, 18-inch wheels, active power steering, cruise control, two power windows, light and rain sensors, an audio system, a panoramic glass roof and other equipment.
