A domestic sports car, and even a serial one! Is it really possible? Apparently yes - after all, at the 2012 Moscow Motor Show was shown "Grant Sport", and not the version of "Lada, which is under two million and for the track", but another - "civilian"!

If the "standard Grant" cannot be called very beautiful for sure, then its version of "Sport" is a completely different conversation. It seems that the same car, but some more massive and inflated. Probably dabbling in steroids? Not in this case! New, more voluminous bumpers with a sporty relief, different sills, a small wing on the trunk lid and huge, 16-inch wheels, made in the form of many small spokes - the whole secret lies in this!
Yes, in the end, the overall picture is "finished off" by the red and white inscription "Sport", which flaunts on the trunk, under the nameplate "Granta". The sedan has become noticeably prettier, it has become more stylish and modern, and such qualities can significantly expand the audience of fans.
The overall length of Lada Granta Sport is 4280 mm, its width is 1700 mm, and its height does not go beyond 1470 mm. The front and rear axles accommodate a 2490 mm wheelbase, and the ground clearance reaches 140 mm. In "combat" form, the four-door weighs 1075 kg, while its total weight is 1560 kg.
What's inside the Lada Grants Sport? And there are a lot of changes here as well! The architecture of the front panel is still the same, familiar, but now in the middle there is a rather large display, with the possibility of touch control. Below it, just below, there are air conditioning control knobs. The interior trim has not changed dramatically, except that the steering wheel is sheathed in leather with red stitching, which is present on the gearshift lever and seats.
By the way, a little about the seats: the front seats are made of more pleasant materials, and, most importantly, they are endowed with a fairly developed lateral support, which holds the riders well in its arms.
The "gallery" of the sedan (like that of the "civilian" model) is capable of accommodating three passengers, and the trunk in the standard state holds 520 liters of luggage.
Specifications. Lada Granta Sport has a powerful engine (at least by domestic standards) - the "heart" of the car is a 1.6-liter petrol "aspirated" with four "pots", distributed injection and 16 valves, which produces 118 "horses" at 6750 rpm and 154 Nm of torque at 4750 rpm.
It is equipped with a manual 5-speed gearbox, thanks to which the “charged” sedan overcomes its first “hundred” kilometers per hour in 9.5 seconds. At the same time, the maximum car can reach the mark of 197 km / h, and "destroys" no more than 7.8 liters of fuel in mixed mode.
As we have already noted, the sports version of "Grants" is built on the basis of the "regular" model, but with a number of improvements. The car has an independent McPherson structure at the front and a semi-independent torsion beam at the rear, but differs by more "compressed" springs and shock absorbers. The four-door has a “pinion-rack” steering mechanism, into which an electric power steering is integrated. The "charged" model has disc brakes on all wheels: on the front axle - ventilated 280 mm, in the rear - the usual 240 mm.
Options and prices. Lada Granta Sport in 2017 was offered to Russian buyers at a price of 609,900 rubles.
The car's arsenal includes two front airbags, 16-inch wheel disks, four power windows, heated front seats, rear parking sensors, air conditioning, a multimedia center, an audio system with four speakers, light and rain sensors and an on-board computer.
